Government Unions - Workers rights - excuse me?

Since when does a worker in the U.S. have rights?  Since when does a worker get to tell their employer how much they should make, or how much they should pay for health care costs, or how much vacation they should get?  Seriously?  Are you kidding me?  Lets get real America!.

This is a nation that was built "for the people, by the people" - not - "for the people that work for the government".  This last decade the average American has given up pay increases, health care, vacation incentives and dare I say - JOBS. Just because you work for the government you feel you're exempt from all this?  Do you really feel because your a government employee that corporate/government greed and corruption doesn’t affect you?  Its time to wake up America,  we can no longer bet that busting our butts 8 hours a day/40 hours a week living "the American dream" is what its all about.

We can no longer bank on the dreams of our forefathers that if we do right by America that America will do us right.  When you buy an American made product, do you really know where it was manufactured?  Or do the parts that make up that product actually comes from America?  Think GLOBALIZATION.  Our future is now in the hands of the GLOBAL economy.  And if you look around, the global economy isn’t in very good shape - Europe is struggling and the Arab world is rebelling.

So where do we go from here?  Do we keep pretending the problems we face are based on lack of local government knowledge, or promises they made to get votes they needed to become our elected officials?  The problem we face is much larger then that.  The problem we face goes way beyond unions and local government promises.  The problem we face is how we fit in with the rest of the world, and how the rest of the world is dealing with the current global economic crisis.
